Between Us Unfiltered at 13. is told from both sides of the relationship, becasue growing up changes the daughter, but it changes the mother too.
WHY TWO VOICES MATTER
Tara Khaleesi enters this book as a full co-author, writing from inside adolescence as it unfolds. Her voice, humor, reasoning, questions and conclusions.
Zeynep writes from the other side of the same moments, as the mother responsible for safety, boundaries, and care, and as a woman examining the fears and patterns she does not want to pass down.
Each voice stands on its own. Together, they show how the same moment can look and feel completely different depending on which side of the relationship you are standing on, and how closeness is built when there is enough room for both perspectives.
